Spend an evening dining out at one of the local restaurants and then take in a movie either at one of the movie theatres within less than a beautiful half hour drive of Cedar Vale, Ks., or rent your favorite movie, pop your popcorn and enjoy the movie.

For the golf enthusiast it is just a short drive to Sedan, Ks(approx 18 miles) where you will find a challenging golf course that is in a beautiful setting. There is also several other golf courses in the area a little over a half hours scenic drive away and you don't have to fight the traffic of a big city.

Enjoy the amenities of the local swimming pool from late spring to end of summer.

There is also plenty of ball games to attend that will keep you busy throughout the year from baseball/softball, basketball and football. You can't help but get caught up in the enthusiasm of locals as they come out to support their hometown teams, Cedar Vale Broncos and Fillies!

Cedar Creek

Fishing in the area creeks and Caney River in this verdigris basin area will find many a catfish. The watershed lakes and ponds have catfish, crappie, and bass. The area is also known for it's abundance of deer, quail, and turkey for the hunter. Whether fishing and hunting as a sportsman or one who fishes and hunts to stock their pantry, most will donate what they don't use for themselves to various organizations, family, friends.
